Job description

Job Summary:

We are looking for a talented UX Designer to join our team and help create exceptional user experiences for our digital products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in user-centered design, with a focus on creating intuitive, accessible, and engaging interfaces. As a UX Designer, you will work closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure that our products meet user needs and business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. User Research:

    • Conduct user research using various methods such as interviews, surveys, usability testing, and field studies to understand user needs, behaviors, and motivations.
    • Analyze and synthesize research findings to create personas, user journey maps, and other user-centered artifacts.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to define and prioritize user needs and requirements.
  2. Design and Prototyping:

    • Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, and prototypes to effectively communicate design concepts and solutions.
    • Design intuitive and visually appealing interfaces that enhance the user experience, ensuring consistency across all platforms and devices.
    • Iterate on designs based on feedback from users, stakeholders, and usability testing.
  3. Usability Testing and Iteration:

    • Plan, conduct, and analyze usability tests to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement.
    • Use qualitative and quantitative data to inform design decisions and iterate on solutions to improve usability and user satisfaction.
    • Collaborate with developers to ensure that designs are implemented accurately and efficiently.
  4. Collaboration and Communication:

    • Work closely with product managers, developers, graphic designers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment of design concepts with business goals and technical constraints.
    • Present and communicate design concepts and rationale to stakeholders and team members.
    • Advocate for user-centered design principles and best practices within the organization.
  5. Design Systems and Guidelines:

    • Develop and maintain design systems, guidelines, and documentation to ensure consistency and scalability across products.
    • Ensure that all designs adhere to accessibility standards and best practices, including WCAG guidelines.
    • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and design best practices to continuously improve and innovate.
  6. Information Architecture:

    • Develop site maps, navigation systems, and content organization strategies to ensure optimal user flow and findability.
    • Collaborate with content strategists to ensure that content is structured and presented effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in UX Design, Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in UX design, preferably in a digital product or agency environment.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating a range of user-centered design projects and proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, or similar.
  • Experience with user research methods and usability testing.
  • Knowledge of wireframing and prototyping tools like InVision, Axure, or Marvel.
  • Understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a plus (though coding is not required).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate design concepts and rationale clearly.
  • Strong understanding of user-centered design principles, usability, and accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG).
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with responsive design and designing for mobile and web platforms.
  • Familiarity with Agile development processes and tools like Jira or Trello.
  • Knowledge of data analysis tools (e.g., Google Analytics) to inform design decisions.
  • Experience in creating and maintaining design systems.
