Job Summary:

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented UI Designer to join our team and help us craft visually stunning and user-friendly interfaces for our digital products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in graphic design and an eye for clean, artful design, with a focus on creating engaging and intuitive user experiences. As a UI Designer, you will collaborate closely with UX designers, product managers, and developers to ensure that our interfaces are not only beautiful but also highly functional and aligned with our brand.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Interface Design:

   • Design visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces for web, mobile, and desktop applications, ensuring consistency across all platforms.
   • Create high-fidelity mockups, prototypes, and design assets using tools like Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, or similar software.
   • Develop and maintain a consistent visual style and ensure that designs adhere to the company’s brand guidelines.

2. Collaboration and Communication:

   • Work closely with UX designers, product managers, and developers to understand user requirements and translate them into design solutions.
   • Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers to ensure a high standard of quality.
   • Present design concepts and solutions to stakeholders, articulating the design rationale and how it meets business and user needs.

3. Prototyping and Interaction Design:

   • Create interactive prototypes to demonstrate user interactions and flows.
   • Collaborate with developers to ensure that designs are implemented accurately and enhance the overall user experience.
   • Iterate on designs based on feedback from usability testing, stakeholders, and other team members.

4. Design Systems and Guidelines:

   • Contribute to the development and maintenance of design systems and UI libraries to ensure design consistency and efficiency.
   • Document design guidelines and best practices to facilitate clear communication and implementation by development teams.
   • Ensure that all designs adhere to accessibility standards and best practices.

5. Stay Updated on Industry Trends:

   • Keep abreast of the latest design trends, techniques, and technologies.
   • Continuously seek out opportunities to improve and innovate in the design process and user experience.

6. Usability and Accessibility:

   • Ensure that all designs are accessible and usable across various devices and platforms, following guidelines such as WCAG.
   • Collaborate with UX designers to ensure that visual designs support usability and enhance the user experience.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Design, Interaction Design, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 2+ years of experience in UI design, preferably in a digital product or agency environment.
• Strong portfolio showcasing a range of UI design projects, demonstrating proficiency in visual design, typography, color theory, and layout.
• Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, InVision, or similar.
• Solid understanding of responsive design principles and best practices.
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a plus (though coding is not required).
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Strong attention to detail and a passion for creating beautiful and functional designs.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with motion design and creating micro-interactions.
• Familiarity with user-centered design principles and usability best practices.
• Knowledge of design systems and experience contributing to or maintaining them.
• Understanding of cross-browser compatibility and responsive design challenges.
