Job description

Surveying and Mapping Technicians assist in the collection, analysis, and interpretation of geographic data. They use advanced surveying equipment and software to create maps and support land surveys, construction projects, and environmental studies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Collection: Operate surveying instruments such as total stations, GPS receivers, and levels to gather accurate geographic data in the field.
  • Mapping: Assist in creating detailed maps and spatial data models using Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and other mapping software.
  • Site Analysis: Conduct preliminary site assessments to evaluate land features and conditions, supporting planning and design efforts.
  • Data Processing: Analyze and process collected data to ensure accuracy and consistency, preparing reports and documentation as needed.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with surveyors, engineers, and other professionals to support projects and ensure compliance with regulations.
