Job description

Sound Engineering Technicians assist in the recording, mixing, and production of audio for various media, including music, film, television, and live events. They work with sound equipment and technology to ensure high-quality audio output.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Equipment Setup: Set up and test audio equipment, including microphones, mixers, and speakers, for recordings and live performances.
  • Recording and Mixing: Assist in recording sessions, capturing sound accurately, and mixing audio tracks to achieve desired sound quality and effects.
  • Sound Editing: Edit audio files to remove imperfections, enhance clarity, and add effects as needed, using specialized software.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical issues with sound equipment to ensure smooth operation during recordings or events.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with producers, musicians, and other technical staff to achieve the desired audio results and meet project goals.
