Job description

Mixing and Blending Machine Setters, Operators, and Tenders are responsible for operating and overseeing machines that mix or blend materials to create products such as food, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, and other goods. This role involves ensuring that products meet quality standards and specifications while maintaining safe and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Machine Setup and Operation:

    • Set up mixing and blending machines, including calibrating controls and installing necessary attachments or equipment.
    • Operate mixing and blending machinery to combine materials according to specified recipes and formulas.
    • Monitor the mixing process to ensure consistency and quality of the blended materials.
  2. Quality Control:

    • Inspect materials and blended products for quality and consistency, following standard operating procedures (SOPs) and specifications.
    • Conduct routine tests and measurements to verify that the mixtures meet established standards.
    • Document quality control results and report any issues or discrepancies to supervisors.
  3. Maintenance and Troubleshooting:

    • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of mixing and blending equipment to ensure proper functioning and hygiene.
    • Identify and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, performing minor repairs as needed to minimize downtime.
    • Maintain a clean and organized work area, following safety protocols and best practices.
