Job description

We are seeking an experienced Agile Coach to join our team and lead our organization through its Agile transformation journey. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Agile methodologies, exceptional coaching skills, and a passion for helping teams and organizations achieve their goals. As an Agile Coach, you will be responsible for guiding teams in adopting Agile practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and ensuring successful delivery of projects using Agile principles.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Agile Transformation and Coaching:

    • Lead and facilitate Agile adoption across teams and departments, ensuring alignment with Agile principles and practices.
    • Coach and mentor Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and team members to improve their understanding and implementation of Agile methodologies.
    • Provide guidance on Agile best practices, including Scrum, Kanban, Lean, and other Agile frameworks.
  2. Team Development and Support:

    • Work closely with teams to identify and address obstacles to Agile adoption and effective collaboration.
    • Facilitate Agile ceremonies (e.g., daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives) and ensure they are productive and focused.
    • Help teams develop and maintain high-performing Agile practices and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  3. Process Improvement:

    • Assess current processes and practices, identifying areas for improvement and recommending changes to enhance Agile effectiveness.
    • Work with teams to implement process improvements, track progress, and measure outcomes to ensure successful Agile adoption.
    • Encourage and support experimentation and innovation to drive process improvements and deliver value.
  4. Training and Development:

    • Develop and deliver Agile training programs and workshops for teams and individuals at various levels of the organization.
    • Create and maintain Agile training materials, guides, and documentation to support ongoing learning and development.
    • Provide one-on-one coaching and support to team members and leaders to enhance their Agile skills and knowledge.
  5. Stakeholder Engagement:

    • Collaborate with senior leadership and other stakeholders to align Agile initiatives with organizational goals and objectives.
    • Communicate the benefits of Agile practices and the progress of Agile adoption to stakeholders and executives.
    • Facilitate stakeholder workshops and meetings to address concerns and gather feedback on Agile implementation.
  6. Metrics and Reporting:

    • Establish and track key metrics to measure the effectiveness of Agile practices and the progress of Agile transformation.
    • Provide regular reports and updates on Agile adoption, team performance, and process improvements to leadership and stakeholders.
    • Use data and insights to drive decision-making and continuous improvement efforts.
  7. Change Management:

    • Support and manage change initiatives related to Agile adoption, ensuring smooth transitions and minimizing resistance.
    • Address and resolve challenges and resistance to Agile practices, working with teams and stakeholders to overcome obstacles.
    • Foster a positive and supportive environment for Agile change and encourage a growth mindset across the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in Agile coaching, project management, or a related role, with a deep understanding of Agile methodologies and frameworks.
  • Proven experience in coaching and mentoring teams and individuals in Agile practices, including Scrum, Kanban, and Lean.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile principles and best practices, with the ability to tailor approaches to different teams and organizational contexts.
  • Excellent facilitation and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience with Agile tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, Azure DevOps) and metrics for tracking Agile performance.
  • Certification in Agile methodologies (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Certified Agile Coach (ICP-ACC), or similar) is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Agile transformations in large or complex organizations.
  • Knowledge of scaled Agile frameworks (e.g., SAFe, LeSS, Scrum@Scale).
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and their integration with Agile methodologies.
  • Experience with change management and organizational development.
